In a season when our mailboxes are stuffed with photos of people we haven’t thought about all year wearing unfortunate sweaters, I’m thinking it might be a great change of pace to prepare a Holiday photo card for him with a personalized message – one where you’re not wearing an ugly sweater.
I’m not talking about sexting a quick selfie photo here. I’m talking about a classy and sexy photograph present of yourself, less clothed than the world normally sees you. Give him a peek at your passionate side.
Boudoir photography is the latest crazy way to give someone you love a memorable surprise. Boudoir portraits or as I call it, “Romantic Glamour” photography is a collaboration between you and the photographer. It proves to be fun for guys, and a self-esteem booster for women. It’s a gift from someone who is taking time to capture their “self” or their essence at a particular time of their life and immortalize it in a photo or two. With flattering poses and lighting, every woman can look her best and overcome any body image issues while seeing herself in a new way. When it comes to smiling or pouting for the camera, trust your photographer to coach you into the perfect poses.
“The word boudoir dates back to the Victorian era when it referred to a lady’s private rooms, which she used for dressing or bathing. By extension, boudoir photography describes shots that capture a woman simulating such private activities. The photos show women in lingerie, or without lingerie, posing coyly or provocatively.” ~ Frances R. Catanio
A boudoir session is really about enjoying the fact that you two are head-over-heels, 100%, absolutely in love with one another. The shared memories and the experience are ultimately more important than the photographs themselves. Finding the right photographer, venue, outfits and even props – they don’t have to be of the “50 Shades” variety – can be quite a challenge, especially if you’re looking for something more tasteful than tacky. It can be as modest as jeans and a tank top or nightgown to fancy lingerie and even a few topless shots! Good boudoir photography is natural, sensual and respecting. You choose.
Let me introduce my friend, Leanna McDonald, Phoenix, AZ, (602-224-7939) a professional photographer with whom I have worked many times at weddings. Leanna loves the uniqueness of every client and capturing each woman’s own intimate beauty. She is truly the “Phoenix Boudoir Photography Queen.” Leanna will create tasteful, sexy photographs of you for that special someone in your life.
Every person has their own idea of what sexy is as well as what they are comfortable with. These sessions are cute, fun, sexy, flirty and even a bit sensual all the while maintaining your comfort level. Your photos can be compiled into an album that you can gift your husband or make them into 12 Sexy Christmas cards and give them to him one per day, 12 days before Christmas.
The job of boudoir photographers is to be “very discreet.” They will not show your photos to anyone without your permission, and reputable photographers will “offer you a contract stating such.”
There isn’t a woman alive who doesn’t like to feel sensual and sexy regardless of her size, shape, age, ethnicity, or background. Most women say that after their photo sessions, they felt empowered and said that is was a major confidence booster. Your sexy photos will leave your husband breathless and begging for more…
