Celebrate Love!

Celebrate your special days in romantic ways. Looking for a reason to celebrate? Make up your own holiday day.

Celebration gives us something to look forward to. Celebrations are magical moments that nurture the soul, define our culture, our life, our love and our passions. When you celebrate, celebrate like you mean it. You must be present – really in the moment – sharing in the celebratory feelings of the event.

Make a note of your “secret anniversaries” that belong just to the two of you; your first date, the day you first made love, the day you moved into your home, the day you got your marriage license, the day he/she proposed, Elvis’ birthday (January 8th), or for no special reason at all. Maybe you both reached a goal or accomplished something special. Celebrate that.

When we celebrate our accomplishments, no matter how small or insignificant, we remind ourselves that we are worth celebrating.

CLoveLOGOPlan something special. Have a party and invite a few close friends. Celebrate your special day with flowers. Hire a chauffeured limousine for the evening. Make it an unforgettable experience.

Rent a “romantic movie” and snuggle while you watch it together.

Celebrate the first day of summer, a pet’s birthday, your child getting straight A’s on a report card, meeting a weight loss goal, the 1st day it reaches 100 degrees in Phoenix (pull out the blender and have a frozen drink party), your 39th birthday for the 10th time, or celebrate doing nothing (no cell phones, TV… just be together).

Send a card with your very own loving message. Write a decree and declare it a national holiday. It’s YOUR day. . . you can do anything you want with it. Celebrate being happy!

Celebrate laughter. Have a “belly laugh” party. For admittance everyone must bring at least 5 of the funniest jokes, stories, etc., and share them with everyone.

“Laughter is an instant vacation and a smile is a little curve that straightens everything out.” – Sandra Magsamen, Artist

  1. This is great advice, especially for brides-to-be and newlyweds! Couples need to remember the love…the reason they want to get married in the first place, of course!
